About EcoDriving

EcoDriving shows you how to optimize the use of your car by driving in a safer, more environmentally friendly, more economical and stress-free way. By using the EcoDriving principles, you will reduce your fuel consumption and greenhouse gas emissions. Using these techniques will also reduce your chances of becoming involved in traffic accidents and will help you to reach your destination with less stress along the way.

EcoDriving helps you to get to know your car better and to use it more efficiently.

EcoDriving teaches you how to deal with traffic by helping you to avoid driving aggressively and encouraging active, attentive driving.

You can read about the main principles on this site. Even better, you can join one of our workshops to give you the opportunity to implement these principles.  You are also welcome to test your knowledge and capacities during a competition ride on our training simulators.

About our workshops

During our workshops, both theory and practice are covered. After studying a particular part of the theory, you can immediately put what you’ve learnt into practice on one of our simulators, which will lead you on to more learning points. An experienced instructor will guide you through the programme and the simulator will indicate your improvements as well as techniques that need more practice.

This report will enable you to compare your results and improvements with those of your friends and colleagues. As well as making the process more exciting, this will also help you to learn more from it.

You can check your results on this site and compare them with other performances during your session, e.g. with other people in your country or others who have used the simulator in the same month. Are you interested in a workshop? Get in touch with our partner in your country. Click here for the contact details.

About our events

We use our simulators at different events. With only 0.1 litres of fuel, participants are challenged to travel as far as possible. Before you begin, the main principles of EcoDriving are explained by the instructor to assist you during the trip, alongside the simulator’s commentaries.

You can check your results on this site and compare them with other performances during your session, e.g. with other people in your country or others who have used the simulator in the same month.

Air conditioning vs open windows

A treacherous dilemma! Air conditioning increases fuel consumption and therefore is not recommended. However, open windows have the same effect when driving at higher speeds (above 60 km/h) because of the increase in air resistance. At higher speeds it is better to use the air vents, but without air conditioning.
